We both woke up super early today around 6am ++ and made our way to HDB hub @ TPY... There's only one way in to the hub and temperature had to be taken coz of the influenza thingy...the usual us will be very tired dragging ourselves to work but somehow today is different.. it's resale completion date and we are finally getting our keys !!!
The first thing we did was to buy our Fire Insurance @ level 2.. The lady was already at the counter but yaking on her phone.. i wished i took her pics. Anyway Hubby Hao didnt gave a dame. He jus went rite up to her n sat down on the chair. She was still on the line while checking out our letter n details. Our house is still covered for another year =P save us some money but we intend to take up the enhance premium to cover for our furniture and personal belongings upon our renovation completion.
Next we met up with the seller and our agents at level 1 and got our queue number. It was a 5 mins wait before we were called in to the officer room 116. Signed 2 letters for transfer, exchanged keys, went through the property tax amount balance and the house is official ours !!!
We then proceed up to level 2 to open our SP services account.. Opted for Water and Electricity and planned for billing to go through Giro for easy management... The application will take 1 month to process so for the first few months, we have to do it the manual way.

Settled our house stuff and we decided to fully utilized our full day leave.. Head down to Orchard to look around for wedding shoes... It's so SHIOK to shop during weekdays, the shopping centres are like ghost town !!! There's no crowd, nobody queueing at the fitting rooms and you get all the sales person attention. I really enjoy this man.
I tried some dresses at Isetan, they are on 10% discount. Thought of buying them for wedding dinners but end up i decided not to.. my fav is the pink one. The sales lady said she can give me 20% but this doesnt tempt me...bleh...

Next we made our way to Far East. I managed to find the dress shop mentioned in SGBrides forum which specialize in making ROM/Wedding dresses.. They have different styles (toga, halter, tubes, spaghetti strap) and prices below 140. It would just cost additional 30 to have a new piece made. Though it's slightly more ex but at least chances of people wearing the same would be lesser.. I fell in love with one of the dress and decided to customize one for my ROM... It would only be ready somewhere in June and i cant wait to see the finished product. As for my bridal package, it also comes with ROM dress but the bridal has limited options which are mainly tubes. I guess i can exchange the ROM outfit with something else... heehee

On the same floor at Fareast, there's also a shop that sells lots of bling bling shoes at reasonable price less than 100. Those at taka cost at least 300 !!! I Guess i shall get them in June once my dress is ready.
After Far east, we headed dowm to Suntec/Millenia Walk to view Harvey Norman... Got some ideas for our bedroom and kitchen... their prices are way way too Atas.. hope we can find better deals elseway. We also visied Gain City at Mariana Sq and we saw a black aircon (Sanyo brand)..
Our 2nd last stop was tampines, initial plan was to head to Ikea but we were too tired. So we settled our dinner there and Hubby Hao's dad came to fetch us.
To conclude, we went back to Simei to visit our house again in the late evening around 7:45pm and also check on the status. The ex owner and her friends are still clearing.. they should be able to handover by tomorrow afternoon.
Here's a sneak preview of the Masterbed room (Faded pink walls)...

I'm so tired now.. off to bed. I cant wait to renovate my kitchen/toilets !!! I wana hack all the ugly tiles away.
Aiyiko XOXO
