I have a new favourite hangout and it's at Ikea.. i wonder if its because of the chocolate moouse, chicken wings & sweden meatballs or because lately we been talking about houses ... i'm looking forward to my very own home... roughly have some idea of what i want and the colour theme..

Living room - Overall white walls. L shape leather sofa with a simple low oval shape coffee table. TV console should have a plasma tv and DVD player with some photos at the side.

Kitchen - Dark Brown/Black and white team layout with a island style kitchen counter.. If space permit i like to have a mini bar top.

Dining room - Round table with some chairs suitable for steamboat gathering

Bedroom - A medium size bed in the center with a small side table. If space permit, i like to have a small coffee table and small long sofa (smth like hotel style. And if i really have the luxury.. i wish n dream for a walk in wardrobe connected to the toilet .. muhaha

Yea.. i'm happy coz its the start of the long weekend..This yr i am almost getting everything new from head to toe and inside out...Been spending lots of money last few weeks on the following.

1. last min shopping for new clothes (got 3 dresses, 1 top, 1 pair of shoes n 4 sets of underwear)

*2 of my frenz have requested to c my new underwear (so here they are .... they are being resized smaller so you all cant see the size)..Have wore one of the set already so they are not in this pic.



2. chi new year goodies

First party of the year...Gathering @ Audrey's house together with ex colleagues...Pot Luck was the theme and everyone contribute an item...

Audrey's baby ger.. she's probably the first baby i overcome my fear n get close with ... Her name is Eliza and she's super friendly and not afraid of strangers..

Had great fun catching up the other day...

Today we had an early reunion dinner together with Hao and my family @ T3's Dian Xiao Er...I didnt really take photos of the food as the lighting were not bright enough at the restaurant.. but manage to capture a shot of all of us Lou Hei...everyone is happy and i hope we can keep this as a yearly tradition.

After dinner was a short trip to the marina barriage.. enjoyed the breeze...

I have got some information from the web to share below...for my friends who are looking around for RESALE houses only..

1. HDB Grant of 30K & 40K or 50k.- Available to first-time Singapore Citizen family of HDB resale flats. If you stay in the same town as parents or within 2 km from your parents, you are eligible for a $40,000 or $50,000/- grant (to be confirmed), otherwise you will be eligible for a $40,000/- grant. This amount will be credited to your CPF account and can be used for deposit or payment of your resale HDB Flats.

2. Submit application before marriage - You are allowed to apply for New HDB Flats before marriage i.e under the Fiance/Fiancee scheme. However, you have to produce your marriage certificate at the estimated delivery possession date of the flat or 3 months after you have taken possession of the new flat, whichever is later

3. Down Payment for Flats - For resale HDB flat, the downpayment is 10% of the valuation or the purchase price whichever is the lower. As from 19 July 2005, you can withdraw up to 6% of your CPF for downpayment and the balance 4% in cash. This cash component will be increased by 1% to 5% from 1st January 2006 like private property i.e 5% cash and 5% CPF for deposit of property from 19th July 2005. Please reserve some CPF to cover other costs related to the purchase such as legal fees, home protection insurance, etc for both new and resale flats, otherwise you end up paying cash.

I got lots of thoughts running through my mind rite nw...

1. My neighbour shifted !!!
Was on my way out this morning when i saw movers moving my neighbour stuff out..I was really shock as we didnt hear about their intention to move.. they sold the house below valuation price which means no cash is required..if only we know about it earlier... wat a waste... I wonder how are my new neighbours like.. I'm not looking fwd to the noisy drilling/renovations...

2. Jurong Point is super big...
Though the journey to the west takes about 45 mins via MRT, time pass faster when we hav frenz to chat with. It's good to explore something new.. lots of shops not found in town area(bugis/suntec/Orchard). My fav part of the mall is the Japanese Food Street.. it's really beautiful.. they even have kushibo there too ... check out the 2photos i tk with my lousy camera phone





3. Future plans..
I'm looking fwd to have my own house where we can design it to our own preference.. which means modernize it.. which means No old fashion furniture like antiques and rather more of a showhouse often seen from home and decor magazines or ikea showflats... will it go along with our plans ???

As for the wedding dinner, we wish we can do away with it as we need to invest all our cash into our new home if we hav got one...our plans is to have a house warming for close relatives/frenz in our new home.. but seems that older generation wont like the idea of this ...

Nw i know why many young couples are putting off wedding.. I finally understand why my cousin rom for 5 yrs has yet to have wedding dinner and she's still staying with her mom even though the couple owns a HDB that they rather rent out for extra income.

Well i shall just let things fall into place natually as time goes by. Hope to find a new job by this year.

4. New Clothes
I thought i have nothing to wear for cny but now i have 3 dresses (yea i ended up getting the 50 bucks tube but at 20% discount so i got 2), 1 top + 1 leggings and pyjamas/ underwears.. No new shoes or bags though i have some that are less than 3 months old.. Shall just make do with them. All I need is to get new bras...=P

I buy new clothes almost everymonth but now it's CNY i cant find a single dress/top i like..weird rite ??

Saw 2 tubes i like but its like 50 bucks for a tube top not really worth the money...
furthermore it's red haha i guess i only wear it twice a yr (CNY and during National Day).

Oh well i got nuthing much to update lately.. shall update again after cny.

2008 went by in a flash with many shocking news around the world as well as the begining of a new chapter for most of my frenz and myself. Marriage, Proposal, Pregnancy etc etc....

I hope 2009 will be a better year for all even though there's a recession.. The first thing i'm looking fwd to is HK trip in March.. It's the 1st time since graduating from sec sch where all 4 of us (Kacee, Ashley, Jolie + Me) are going overseas together.. i'm really excited for this...Have booked our air tix already and now we are just waiting for hotel promos.
