Like what i mention in my previous entries.. i have been exploring Liang Seah Street with Steph.. last week we tried out the taiwan beef noodles and the lastest is the HK cafe along in the same row.. This Hk cafe serve drinks in a weird cookie jar.. veryvery unique.. i took pics of it... Went to the same cafe during lunch today with Desiree....

The best part about weekend is to wake up naturally and nt to the sound of alarm clock. Sun afternoon was spent shopping @ Orchard.. I had no intention of buying anything today ... Jus wana accompany Estee coz haven met up with her for a long time.. But anywei i still end up with some purchases... Used my UOB debit card.. 15% discount for most of the items... hee

Really need to add more clothes to my working selection.. It looks like i cant escape from Black, White and Grey..

Did smth out of the ordinary with Steph today !! Went out at 9am and ended up having breakfast at some coffee shop opposite St Hildas pri.. long story.. nt gona elaborate on it.. the dim sum is still as good as before.. esp the lotus leaf rice.. yummy....

After that, we headed to tampines mall & century before heading for Expo for the adidas sale..

Purchases for today...




Finished off the day at airport for lunch & chilling out session... I am very satisfied today ...

Initial plan was to visit Vivo city bk fair cruise.. kinda disappointing as it was really small n the weather was sorching hot... spent less than 5 mins on board.. hehe anywei we decide on an impluse to pop over to Sentosa to watch the musical fountain..

Liang Seah Street has lots of interesting food to explore.. last thurs after wk, Steph and i went to one of the taiwanese store and tried their beef noodle set..The set includes a big bowl of beef noodle , one huge cup of Red pearl milk tea and a choice of side dish.. For non beef lovers, they also have other dishes there....

The soup and beef is very very very nice.. esp the meat. Its so tender...the noodle is very Q but nt the type that i like..i believe it can still be improved.. As for the milk tea, its pretty good too.. I will order the beef set again... The next time i go there, i will bring my camera to tk some pics.. our next target are the Hk or Vietnamese store along the same street...

As for next yr, i am looking fwd to short trips to either tw, bk or hk..i am saving up nw... i really enjoy free n easy tours.. it doesnt hav to be far n glamour like Europe, Japan or US.. just anywhere out of spore where i can shop , eat, relax n nua in the hotel room... nw with budget airline, i can afford to stay in better hotels n spend more on my shopping...i am getting excited again.. lets hope jetstar will hav more promo next yr..

Last nite, I chatted with some of my friends still studying nw.. 2 in SMU, 2 in SIM and 1 in NUS. Most of them are from Business and some from IT.. on average, there's around 4 assignments, 1 test and 1 exam for every subject they take...comparing the 3 unis, the SMU students seems to be more stressful.. esp for Shuhui.. i hope god will guide her the way and give her strength to carry on.. tk away her problems and let her hav full concerntration to prepare for exams..

Jetstar having promotion for air tix to Bangkok from Jan to June 2007. One way tix there is around $2 + tax $57 = $59.. very worth booking.. i am so tempted but its just wat too in advanced.. i'm hoping to go with Steph and Hao.. Need to save up first..

Time really flys during holiday.. i"m back fr Bangkok !!! Since most of my frenz has already been there, i dun tink i need to intro much.. the only place they have not been is probably the new airport.. its really huge,the layout resembles hongkong airport with glass and the sun coming in.. looks very classy but very sunny... statues of elephants, gods and posters of King are everywhere...

Day 01 - 7:15am flight fr Sg to Bangkok is around 9:30am..

There was a slight traffic jam but with the skills of our driver, we reached the hotel around 11am.. I felt as if i was in the movie initial D or too fast too furious tokyo drift.. the way the pple drive are so scary but exciting, they can change lane without signals, checking of blind spot and stop so close to the car in front...

After check in, we head to MBK's Sushi Tei for lunch.. i ordered my fav Unagi bento set plus the shared softshell crab, i paid only SGD 11.30 for a Japanese meal.. very cheap !! With energy replenished, it's time to chong shopping... We covered the covered the MBk, Siam paragon , discovery center.. in between, we had to go back to the hotel twice just to put our staff as it was too heavy..





Day 02 - 9am Thai time, breakfast



The beakfast is international buffet style. One of the best breakfast i ever had..they had french toast, chicken porridge, crossiants, bacon, ham, fried rice, fried noodle etc etc All look veryvery yummylicious... ate till i almost want to throw up.. then we head for Platinum Mall... We start our journey fr the basement.. by the time we reached level 3, 3/4 of the day was almost gone.. and we have not even cover half the place.. our hands were almost ready to drop out from our body... So we decided to visit this place again the next day.. Time to go back to our hotel for a break to recharge for Suan Lum night bazzar... Guess what? We shopped till we forgot abt lunch.. Its kind of hard to get a cab back to our hotel in the evening from Platinum Mall as it was the peak season.. so we crossed the road over to Amari Hotel and tk a cab fr there.. stopped by KFC for a quick dinner b4 going up to our hotel.. the tuna salad is really yummy.. smth diff from Spore's stinky coleslaw

Day 2b- 8:30pm Thai time, Suan Lum

Head to suan lum night bazzar in a cab.. according to my friends, there are some changes.. they have added a amusement park to it.. so now there is one huge ferries wheel.. I did nt bring my camera as it well known to be stuffy with lots of pick pockets.. We spent abt 4 hours plus there..evening though we went at night, it's still very hot and stuffy. The lanes are bigger than the Chartuchart weekend mkt.. imagine if we went to chartuchart during day, i tink i KO there.. I bought 2 pairs of puma shoes there.. by the time we conkass at the hotel it was already 2am...

Day 03 - 9:30am Thai time, breakfast



Head for platimun mall again to continue the rest of the building.. This time, we managed to finish the rest of the floors within half a day. This is also the time where the bulk of our purchases start.. as it was a wholesaler building, any item that we buy 3 piece and above, we get wholesaler price.. It's good to go shopping with all gers with almost similar style.. hence everything i buy also wholesaler price.. cheap cheap.. =) my friend buy until they cant carry so they invest in a cute winnie the pooh "Ah Samm Bag" those huge huge ones...they are doing some kind of bazaar in Spore, the one behind Cineleisure...

Our next designation was Iseten as we need to get some ladies' MUST BUY items.. spent about 30 mins there, Head back to hotel to put our stuff. Everytime we enter the hotel, we have to go through a security check.. there's one cute handsome guy who insisted on opening up one of my friend's paper bag and he saw many "cups" staring back at him and he immediately turn red. haha its so furnie.. i nv forget that... After we dump our things in the room, we went down to MBK to take away Macdonald's Samurai pork burger for dinner...After a late dinner, we chiong MBK again for tibits.. bring some back for hao's family, office my home.. and guess what? we forgot about our lunch again.. we only had a quick drink at Platimun.. they have really too many interesting shops to cover and eating lunch is probably a waste of precious time haha...well well, i wonder how guys accompanying their gf survive...






Day 04 - 9:00am Thai time, breakfast



After breakfast, head over to MBK again... visited the same stores that we went and get more t-shirts, slippers.. coz the person recognise us and we need to do less bargaining ...... tried to spend finish all our coins and small notes.. grabbed some cosmestic items from watson.. their maybellin items are really cheap.. imagine my foundation i buy in Spore its around SGD 19.90 there only SGD $8 !!!

Conclusion
The next time i go bangkok, i am going to stay at Pratuwam Princess hotel again..Even though its kind of pricey, the service, breakfast and security are really excellent. Plus it's linked to MBK with so many shops and makan place.. its really a nice place to start your day..



For shopping, i recommend Platinum Mall, any item, if you buy 3 pieces and above, u are entitled to the wholesaler price...which really makes a lot of difference.Almost 2 x cheaper.. their profits must be really high..



The thai's fav phrase are no sai (no size), same same, no hav (dun have) wheras Sporens fav phrase are buy more got discount? got new piece? i tink i need sometime to get over the way the thai pple talk.. it's just too comcial...



This is really a relaxing shopping trip.. next time i gona bring my bikini n sit in their jacuzzi..

Todae is the happiest day of on year 2006 coz i spend the whole of the day with both my dearest parents... very very rare chance that we go out together for one full day... I wished we can do it more often...

Woke up pretty late today around 10am plus... had a good dream but cant remember abt wat.. so i'm feeling great today.... slack around till my mom finish with her housework and we left for Changi Village to have lunch... Nv take any pics coz the bus ride took abt 1 hr, we were all famish by the time we reached...

Dad had Fish Head Bee Hoon
Mom had Satay Bee Hoon
Xy had Chicken Cutlet noodle
Shared food include - Goreng Pisang, Paper wrapped chicken, sugar cane drinks, Fried yam, topiaco, green bean...

After lunch, we had a stroll around changi village, they bought 4d and we took bus 2 to City Hall.... another 1 hour plus of bus ride (i almost throw up k)... we passed by Geylang too... and i saw China prostitutes.. they were standing openly on the streets smiling at those ti ko ah peks..

Reached Suntec around 4 plus... bought lots of stuff...

Panasonic digital camera for myself + Freebies (1 Gig SD card, Casing, Extra Batt, Tripod, Camera Bag, Screen protector and cleaner etc etc...)

Dad didnt want anything....

Dinner was at Xing Wang cafe.... both parents like the food there.. dad says its abit oily but its still yummy.........

xy had cheese baked pork chop rice + HK Milk tea

Took a cab home after that...

To date, I have been on this planet earth for 23 yrs !!! Well didnt do anything special today.. jus wan to relax and avoid town area.. Agenda for today starts with lunch at Ajisan...and guess what? I brought my camera out without the SD card..i have left it in the card reader at home... BUT not to worry, my good old camera has internal memory.. so i manage to take some pics.. HOWEVER, i jus realise i didnt install the software b4 my cd-rom spoil so i cant do it.. i tried to dl fr internet but it doesnt work.. arrrgghh.. i guess hv to extract the pics by some other means..

Anywei next thing on the agenda was Death Note.. i didnt expect i would enjoy the show.. but i can say its very very niceeeeeeeeeeeee... expect tat the ending was kind of sudden.. i assume they are coming up with part 2 soon... check out some pics fr the movie..



I like Light toh aka Kira.. hes soo cool... The protagonist of Death Note, Light is a brilliant but bored student. When he finds the Death Note dropped in the human world by Ryuk, a Shinigami, he decides to use it to kill all criminals, his ultimate goal being to cleanse the world of evil，to create a utopia and to be the God of this new world..........

After movie, we went window shopping coz i wan to save up for Bangkok trip next thurs ..hehe 6 more days... i am getting excited..........that's all for today.. i'm glad i dun have any calls fr office but i just checked my email.. i managed to close 2 deals... muhaha....

Jus realise my camera gt the transfer function.. i managed to transfer the pics fr camera memory to sd card.. shall take this point dw.. vv impt coz its nt the first time i bring my camera out without sd card.. lol I have decided on Panasonice Lumix FX-07 ... Best Denki and Courts selling at $649... i'm waitin for Estee Quotation...let's see where i can gt a better offer....

We had Crayfish Ramian and Curry Pork Ramian (new dish).. the side dish is only 90 cents during lunch !!! Worth going.. heee Yummyyyyyyyyyyyy i love the crayfish ramian soup..

Met up with Cynthia, Corlissa & Eunice after work on Halloween.. 31st Oct..oh boy they do really come up with nice surprise... Thanks everyone .. u gals are so sweet... hehee i am gona be occupied with 2 drama series (Er Zuo Ju Zi Wen) and the doctor show by Jerry Yen ... yipeee....

We had our dinner at New York New York.. went in around 7:30pm and we sat there till 10:30pm until the waiter pass us our bill... so muchhhh things to talk about.. gossip about bosses... catchin up on personal live, share all the stupid childhood stuff that we did... and the most funniest experience we have with dogs... haha nv ending...

Waiting for Cynthia to send me those farnie pics we took... i spin the candy floss... first time doing it and its so fun !!! I shall do it again if i go there... anywei took some yummy food with my hp ..

Then today after work, i Meet Estee for dinner at Sushi Don @ Funan center.. the food there is yummy.. serving was quite big.. luckily we only order one main dish n 2 side dishes to share.. didint tk any pics coz i was lazy.. At least we tried the olive rice.. something new ya.. and the eel is veryvery every shiock... eh i love eel........... Thank You Estee for the bdae treat..shall go there more often.. i like the environment.. its quiet and cosy... plus the food is affordable and its a nice place to hangout.. they have korean food there also....

I am so xin fu coz i have lots of wonderful frenz......
