For the past one year, i think i have chg alot, esp since i have chosen to be in the recruitment line.. i feel comfortable communicating with strangers .. Probably it's bcoz of my job nature and i have a good mentor.. B4 i start to interview the candidates, i always make an effort to create small talk with them to help them relax and feel comfortable talking to you. For eg, if they come just after lunch, i will ask if they have taken their lunch, was it easy to locate my office location.. If i am interviewing foreigners, i will ask them if this is their 1st visit to S'pore and where have they been etc...
I am grateful for having a wonderful mentor. She really taught me alot,i am kind of sad that she has made her decision to leave the company.. In fact,not only my boss, i know quite a number of people who are planning to leave.In fact, i am also planning.. but nt in the short term..i want to stay on for at least half a year more to have more solid experience b4 i go elsewhere..No point just having a Degree.. employers are looking at working experience and commitment (staying power)...
Enough about work.. this week has really been hectic.. been meeting up with frenz for dim sum, coffee sessions @ Starbucks, TCC and Coffee Club, kbox etc...

After a yummylicious brunch (breakfast cum lunch).. its time to Sing.. one of my top fav activity nw.. i can neither sing like Sun Yan Zi nor can i imitate Ah Du ..but i still love kbox coz i get to see handsome in MTVs, sit n nua in a private room for 4 hours and take crazy photos with frenz .. it totally rocks...

Ytd, went back to office for a while. Actually was just to accompany Steph as she had an interview.. As for me, i was bz doing bo liao stuff like shreding my pile of resumes.. clearing some shit wk which i nv had the time to do during normal days...and also typed out my Taiwan Itinery.. yes yes.. i made the booking for both air tix n hotel aready.. i am counting dw to the trip..Leave has also been approved !!!
Initial idea was to have smth light (Pepper Lunch salad for lunch) but we walked pass the Porridge Buffet @ Suntec to avoid the "red lanyard" which i presume are those insurance co/financial planner (No offence.. but i really no mood to sit dw n yada yada coz my tummy was growling)... So we end up in the buffet lunch..

The dessert was nice though.. i love the brownie and coffee cake.. YUmmylicious..
The yellow watermelon is nice too.. OMG..look at my super rounded face.. i have been leading too good life.. must diet..
Steph is trying to steal some wet tissues from the next table.. which are supposely for Dinner..haha
I guess that's about all.. i just came back from Vivo with Hao.. load of pic but lazy to edit.. shall continue another day..

Insignificant Someone - This entry is for Baoru & Desiree to read....
I have one colleague who is always on MC or urgent leave. Since i joined last year, she is almost never in the office for one full week. In fact she has fully utilised and even over used her Medical (14 days) and Annual leave (14 days)...which resulted in her taking unpaid leave.
This colleague normally reports to work around 9:15am and she will disappear for half an hour to somewhere to have her breakfast and back to office at 10:30am. Around 10 mins to 12pm, she will head out to lunch and around 4:30pm to 5pm, she will start to feel hungry and go out to buy back macdonalds for tea break. It has became her daily routine. I wonder how can a company tolerate such an employee !!!
This colleague of mine just got back from a one week holiday in Australia and my boss happen to be away for a one week break as well.. Some ridiculous things that happened these few weeks include the following
1. One fine day, she started asking everybody is her lips cracked?? Then whine n whine about lips feeling dry n painful and she decided to call it a day and went off.. OMg, she did not even apply for leave. I know coz i asked her the next day if she went to consult doctor, she say nope..
2. One morning, she stepped into office around 1030am and opened her laptop... which apparently had some problem... and 2 hours later, she packed her things and went off. My boss then told us, OH her laptop is nt working so she went home to work from home.. WAH KAOZ!!!!
I really pei fu her daring actions.. my boss doesnt seem to be concerned with her..But i really cant stand her behaviour..

Taiwan Trip- 70 Days to go
This is the first time i am using the Internet to make booking for an entire holiday trip. I have never trusted online transactions unless it's out of no choice. I always got the feeling that transactions carried out online are so virtual and unreal plus there's a risk that your credit card info gets disclose and somebody will hack into your bank account and blahblah.. I guess i am slowly coming out of this stone age thinking.. I've been booking movie tickets online..
Back to Taiwan trip, a very Big Thank You to Lihua (my sec sch friend) for recommending this TS Hotel.. its having promotion and i have personally emailed the hotel staff to make further confirmation on the rates to ensure tat everything has a black and white information. I am here to do a backdated post for last weekend which both days are fully utilised..
Accompanied Steph on Sat to get her Guess watch and shop around Orchard... We had our dinner at Fish & Co near parklane.. this Fish & Co is quite different from other outlets as they have a live band...we were lucky enough to get a cushioned seat upstairs to enjoy the nice view of the band...
We had a very yummy dinner seafood platter for 2 and ended in Raffles City.. which i impulse buy a Guess perfume.. It comes with a lovely valvet pink pouch and i love the scent very much..sprayed some on my baobao.. hehe she smells xtra nice now...
Sun was spent lazing at Hao's house, watching "Step up".. i like the part where the male lead was trying to imitate the ballet moves.. visit AMK new shopping hub in the late evening.. and its indeed a very HUGE place.. i'm gona explore it this Sat for sure...hope to get some nice office wear there.. I am running out of tops...

Last weekend was an eventful week. One of my very good friend got married. She is actually the first among all my friend to get married. I am so happy for her. She went through alot of planning and organizing etc etc..
Was invited to be one of her "sisters" .. this is actually my 2nd time i tink.. 1st time was for my cousin wedding but i didnt anything the first time round.. my presence was just to add the numbers... However for Cynthia's wedding, i was more involved with sabotaging the "brothers".. We did all the planning 2 days before the wedding day at the hen's night dinner.. hehe So fun !!! But it was very tiring.. i dont think i will volunteer to be a sister again.. haahhaa. Anywei after this, i am not looking forward to Marriage at all.. Its really really tiring and need alot of effort.. I am not ready for all this stress.. so please dont ask me when i am getting married.. It's not going to be within the next 2 years.
Anywei check out the pics at the dinner.. i did not bring my camera during the day and i kind of regreted.. Most of the photos are with another sister ivy... shall update again once i got it from her..

Today one Chao Turtle made me wait at Dobby Ghaut for half an hour for nothing. Fed up, i went to Orchard and bought 2 pairs of shoes..Anywei i am too piss to blog nw.. thanks to Chao Turtle... Ciaoz.........
Yes, i bought the same pair (3rd pair) of white scandals again.. Must be thinking i am mad right. I really hate blisters, so if this pair of shoes are comfortable, no harm buying it again.. Now i have 2 sets (3 pairs each) of similar shoes at home.. hehe

Weekend is over and so is my monday.. Luckily i applied leave today.. Had a nice time sleeping in late... SHIOK !!! Check out the photos...
8:35am- Set off from somewhere near Bukit Batok area... During the journey to Tuas checkpoint, the tourguide kept reminding us a zillion times to check our passport for chops as the Malaysian custom has "famous" for not chopping our passport on purpose...
Our first stop was to the fruits farm... its quite small..can see the aunties grabbing durians.. while we youngsters jus snap photos around..
Next on the iterinary was the visit to the Kelong.. we had to take a boat there.. My first time on a Kelong...i am so afraid the wooden planks cant hold our weight.. but they seem to be quite sturdy

After kelong trip, we head to our resort to chg and rest...the resort is also build on pillars in the sea.. looks very luo kok on the outside but nt to worry, everything is very modern in the inside...
Here's our dinner.. cooked by the owners of the resort.. very yummilcious as their seafood are very very fresh...
My least fav animal..there were a zillion there n i was scare stiffed.. hao call me cat coz whenever i see dogs, i will scratch him n turn VEry paranoid...
Last but not least, a small sovernior from Kukup...
Overall i like the resort, the food, the wonderful sea breeze... i hate the mosquitoes, flies and the dogs... Three satisfaction from the trip...i enjoyed myself with Hao family, very happy... i stayed on a "kelong" and i learned how to play Majiong.. Now i am addicted to it..its a fun game that revolves around luck n tatic ...
