Swine flu has finally came to Spore...my boss's sis was on the SQ flight that came in from New York with the infected girl... well i hope she's ok and we wont be affected... Not sure if my boss needs to be quarantine or not or worse our whole office...

Apart from Human, my office laptop also gt "swine". It finally died on me after 3 years.. to think the IT guy just came 1 hour b4 the crash to "fix" it, i hope he did helped me to back up my emails otherwise it's gona be disastrous.. thank god i back up my files the day b4...i'm only worry about my emails... i wonder if i will be able to get a new laptop. =P

Today we decided to check out the progress of our house renovations and we brought along our 3rd visitor...Stephanie

Photobucket

Here's the standard pose where all visitors must do.. I'm gona replace it with our wedding/family pics one day...

Photobucket

*To find out more about the progress, it's in the wedding blog.

Next we head downtown to Orchard.. it's so crowded.. i feel like slapping everyone that blocks my way... initial mission was to get a dress for tml's wedding dinner .. found a purple one that i like but realise no shoes/handbag to match.. hiaz.. means have to spend more money.. hence i decided to forgo and just wear the old black dress i have. Save $$$$...

Old pple like us cant stand the crowd or walk any further so we went for a movie.. Night at the musume 2.. they have 2 types.. Digital and Non digital.. i had to asked the box office lady wat's the difference.. my gosh.. i feel so out of the era... bascially Digital means the image is sharper.. we tot it's 3D image.. bleh

Lastly we stumble upon this newly open Xing Wang Taiwan Cafe (sister company of Xing Wang HK Cafe) where the old Shokudo cafe used to be in the citylink.. they banned photo taking there... kind of dumb coz i tink photo taking can help them to do marketing.. people like us will blog about the place and bring more crowd there.. i dont see the logic of banning photo taking so here are the photos to share below..

Photobucket

Their cafe and menus are designed with comic like characters...

Photobucket

They have all the TW night market street food .. drinks etc etc...

Photobucket

We ordered the following..

Sesame Chicken Mee Sua.... its very fragrant and yummy .. not sticky and starchy like the usual mee sua fr XXL..

Photobucket

Yan Su Chicken.. its crispy and not oily.. would taste excellent if they add plum powder

Photobucket

Ai Yue (Taiwa Jelly PUdding) taste much better than the original ones in Taipei

Photobucket

So that concludes our Sat..

Tml is Hubby Hao's burfDay but we gona attend a wedding dinner...

Secrets are hard to keep... i'm glad i can finally let out this secret today.. been withholding it for 2 weeks.. i worry i email or sms her by mistake...thank god everything worked out as planned without any Boos Boos... i luv surprises.. hope you like it too KACEE...

This secret is abt planning a surprise Birthday party at Kalland Macdonalds for Kacee.. which includes her poly frenz (Winnie, vivien, Jeral, Connie & a gal) and us SHSS folks & partners(Jolie, Ash, Ronson + Hao)... It's all our first time at Mac's party..

Photobucket

Our dear leading lady was suppose to reach at 12pm sharp but she was late as usual and poor winnie had to hurry her to Kallang Mac in a cab.... while waiting for Kacee, we spend our time decorating Kacee's bdae card... the later she came, the more complicated it became.. we were trying to finish up the stickers.

Photobucket

Photobucket

1230pm, WInnie appeared with a very surprised Kacee.. hee i love tat look on her face... she must be wondering how on earth we managed to get in touch and plan all these.. all credits go to Winnie for bringing up the idea... too bad we didnt manage to get Jie Xiong (Kacee bf) contact number.

Since the female lead is here, the Mac person got us started with some games.... we were divided into 2 groups, seated on the mini chairs. We played some drawing game, like the Win Lose or Draw and a Musical hoola hoop game with forefeit.

Photobucket

Photobucket

After the games, we were made to wash our hands like little kids and seated at the tiny tables/cHairs which resembles my kindergarten ones... it really bring back our childhood memories.

Here comes our Happy Meal came... nuggets, fries and milo...

Photobucket

Up next Ronald Macdonald rolled into the room.. hmm not the mascot but the cake.. ha ha .. i will freak out if he does..

Photobucket

Photobucket

Overall we really enjoyed ourselves.. credits to Ronson for helping us to take many many pics.. the pics i have posted above are from my camera.. will post up the group Pic later.

This yr a popular yr for marriage... Celebrities like Michelle, Fann Wong and even Kym Ng is up next. The case abt Michelle Chia's original gown being a copy case is soo lame.. I saw a similar diamond back gown.. in one of the bridal shop at Bugis... Graceful Image, the very next day after the news published.

Anyway i prefer Michelle's new ballerina gown with crystal sturts.. it's so much more sweeter and elegant compared to the diamond back. Got this pic off a screen shot from Youtube coz i cant find it anyway on google.

Photobucket

Her evening dress is also very sexy.. i like the blue and the bling..

Photobucket

Fann's Rom dress is also sweet too...I guess Christopher Lee could have made himself more presentable , looks kind of sloppy there. But they both look happy so doesnt matter.

Photobucket

The lucky celebrities have sponser for their wedding while poor us have to pay ourselves. It's a once in life time event, so i guess we do have to spend anyway. I'm looking forward to see my custom made ROM dress... 3 more weeks to go... At least i have something to keep for rememberance from my wedding.

Since Hubby Hao's proposal last Nov, we've been busy with reading up on house and wedding stuff.. I can say we made alot of progress for the past 6 months with the help of our frenz, house agent and also family. Thank you so much for all your contributions.

We decide to give ourselves a break and hibernate for 2 weeks after we completed our resale transaction. Now it's time to get back in actions and here's a little update on our progress ...

Hubby Hao drew out our kitchen and rooms layout and his dad brought us to choose tiles last thursday after work. The show room is very near my current house and there are so MANY to choose from..

Photobucket

My fav tiles.. but i didnt choose this.. too kiddy.. my mom doesnt like our idea of having a black n white toilet.. =(

Photobucket

We also went to our house to change the padlock and also discussed about the wall colours and cabinets/wardrobes layout...

And today we have our first visitor... Estee Goh or rather Mrs Lim to be =P

Photobucket

This is one of the so called natural pose she learnt from her wedding photoshoot experience.. haha..

Photobucket

After a quick tour around the house and we decided to head off to visit Estee's house at Pasir Ris which the renovation is completed and left with furnishing...

Here's us at the balcony..

Photobucket

Here's us at the Dinning room.. i like the kitchen window lookout...

Photobucket

Here's her toilets.. personally i like the black floor.. looks classier and dirts/hair are less visible

Photobucket

Photobucket

Here's her cute chopping board from BangKOk.. Dear Janice if you see this at Bangkok coming July, get one for me please... thanks in advance

We both woke up super early today around 6am ++ and made our way to HDB hub @ TPY... There's only one way in to the hub and temperature had to be taken coz of the influenza thingy...the usual us will be very tired dragging ourselves to work but somehow today is different.. it's resale completion date and we are finally getting our keys !!!

The first thing we did was to buy our Fire Insurance @ level 2.. The lady was already at the counter but yaking on her phone.. i wished i took her pics. Anyway Hubby Hao didnt gave a dame. He jus went rite up to her n sat down on the chair. She was still on the line while checking out our letter n details. Our house is still covered for another year =P save us some money but we intend to take up the enhance premium to cover for our furniture and personal belongings upon our renovation completion.

Photobucket

Next we met up with the seller and our agents at level 1 and got our queue number. It was a 5 mins wait before we were called in to the officer room 116. Signed 2 letters for transfer, exchanged keys, went through the property tax amount balance and the house is official ours !!!

We then proceed up to level 2 to open our SP services account.. Opted for Water and Electricity and planned for billing to go through Giro for easy management... The application will take 1 month to process so for the first few months, we have to do it the manual way.

Photobucket

Settled our house stuff and we decided to fully utilized our full day leave.. Head down to Orchard to look around for wedding shoes... It's so SHIOK to shop during weekdays, the shopping centres are like ghost town !!! There's no crowd, nobody queueing at the fitting rooms and you get all the sales person attention. I really enjoy this man.

I tried some dresses at Isetan, they are on 10% discount. Thought of buying them for wedding dinners but end up i decided not to.. my fav is the pink one. The sales lady said she can give me 20% but this doesnt tempt me...bleh...

Photobucket

Next we made our way to Far East. I managed to find the dress shop mentioned in SGBrides forum which specialize in making ROM/Wedding dresses.. They have different styles (toga, halter, tubes, spaghetti strap) and prices below 140. It would just cost additional 30 to have a new piece made. Though it's slightly more ex but at least chances of people wearing the same would be lesser.. I fell in love with one of the dress and decided to customize one for my ROM... It would only be ready somewhere in June and i cant wait to see the finished product. As for my bridal package, it also comes with ROM dress but the bridal has limited options which are mainly tubes. I guess i can exchange the ROM outfit with something else... heehee

Photobucket

On the same floor at Fareast, there's also a shop that sells lots of bling bling shoes at reasonable price less than 100. Those at taka cost at least 300 !!! I Guess i shall get them in June once my dress is ready.

After Far east, we headed dowm to Suntec/Millenia Walk to view Harvey Norman... Got some ideas for our bedroom and kitchen... their prices are way way too Atas.. hope we can find better deals elseway. We also visied Gain City at Mariana Sq and we saw a black aircon (Sanyo brand)..

Our 2nd last stop was tampines, initial plan was to head to Ikea but we were too tired. So we settled our dinner there and Hubby Hao's dad came to fetch us.

To conclude, we went back to Simei to visit our house again in the late evening around 7:45pm and also check on the status. The ex owner and her friends are still clearing.. they should be able to handover by tomorrow afternoon.

Here's a sneak preview of the Masterbed room (Faded pink walls)...

Photobucket

I'm so tired now.. off to bed. I cant wait to renovate my kitchen/toilets !!! I wana hack all the ugly tiles away.

♥ Saturday, May 02, 2009♥

Today is the 2nd appointment with the bridal shop and its my fav activity !!! During gown/outfit selection, more time are spent on ladies due to the wide variety of designs and colours available. While the poor guys are limited to few colours like black, white, grey, brown and designs. Compared to the previous session, Rom dresses were much more easier to wear as they are lighter and shorter. We managed to settle our ROM outfit and photoshoot hand bouquet within 1 hour.

Next, we shopped around randomly and happen to chance on a boutique that sells men's wear. The salesman was very nice, patient and he shared some good tips for man's wedding outfit eg how to match the belt, shoes and tie. Thank you for the valuable knowledge. Hubby Hao also managed to get a good buy (unique and comfort fit) for his Day shirt which also look good without the tie. The next accessories we have to start looking out for is the shoes and belt.

We ended off the day with shopping at Tampines One and 17 Again a touching movie at Downtown East..

I'm off to bed now.. tbc tml
