It has been almost 1 week since i am back and i am still in the holiday mood. Manage to clear my emails and right now bz with some new job orders. Many pple in my office seem to have caught the flu/cough bug & My lao da seems to be very sick and cant be bothered with us.. =P

Let's see what have i been up to in HongKong. Poor hao had to stay over the nite b4 and accompany me to the airport and drag himself home later...Thank you dear , Really appreciate ur company. Reached the airport at 540am.. we were almost the last few to check in and had no time for breakfast..gate close 40 mins b4 flight departure and we made it just on time.

Day 1: Singpore > Hongkong

Landed in HK around 1030am and we took the public bus - A21 to Nathan Road.. somehow we manage to find our way to the hotel after asking around with Desiree's broken cantonase haha. Must make it a point to remember the Chinese name of the street and hotel.. The HK pple there english is really as pte ltd as my cantonase. Here's a pic of our room.. small but comfortable.. i like the LCD screen

By the time we checked in and settle down it was already 3 plus. Cant imagine if i took a later flight there. It was drizzling, everywhere is crowded in Mongkok and we were very tired. Too lazy to walk further, we settled for Ajisan... i tried their beef curry ramen (nt ava in spore).. yummy !!! Then we went exploring mongkok.. we see sasa, esprit everywhere...bought many my melody stuff tats all...

Covered almost 50% of Mongkok, we stumble upon Modern Toilet restaurant in the late evening. The building is pretty new but quite popular with youngster.. we had to wait for awhlie b4 we got a seat. i love their theme.. wish we have one in sg too.. After dinner we shop abit and retire to our hotel to have an early rest.

Photobucket

Trust me.. it's not disgusting at all to eat from the toilet bowl.. but i still find it challenging to eat curry from it.. we ordered grill chicken instead.. the meat is very tender.. yummy.. wish i had some space for desserts.

Day 2: Shenzhen (windows of the world)

Went down to buy breakfast from a nearby Char Can Ting.. the pi dan shou ruo zhuo is the best i ever tasted.. had chicken n pork bits + century egg.. they are very generous with the meat... the you tiao is also very crunchy... tried a red bean kwey which they always eat in drama.. nt too bad too..

Photobucket

After filling our tummy, it's time to go Shenzhen. The best thing abt stayin in Mongkok is both the KCR and MTR train stations are available and our hotel is right in the middle.. abt 10 mins walk to both station. Crossing custom was easy since we are foreigners as the queues are shorter.. The journey from Hk to windows of the world took abt 1.5 hrs.. taking their metro was even easier

Photobucket

Here we are at windows of the world.. the weather is just nice for a day in the park..much better than the summer heat i went 2 years ago..

They even have a roller coaster within the shopping center.. too bad it's under renovation

Photobucket

Photobucket

Lai CHi Kok was also similar except it's indoor and something like Platinum Mall in Bangkok.. air conditioned.. many many shops but didnt buy anything coz some of the shops are not open to retailers only to wholesale..

Day 8: Sham Shui Po > Singapore

Our last day in HK, we woke up earlier to pack our luggage, went for dim sum at the first restaurant ... and did some last min shopping.. Stumble upon Aglye Center.. woah it's one of the best place i ever been in Mongkok.. too bad we only found the place on our last day.. bought 2 dresses and 1 bag.. wished i had more time there.. i must go there again next time ...

Since my Taipei trip last year, i had not taken more than 1 week off from work, apart from my short 4 days break in BKK during my birthday last year... Really miss sch days where we can have an entire 1 month break or even 3 months summer break during Uni...

With Jetstar budget airline, it makes travelling even more affordable... I make it a point to travel once a year. I really enjoy planning out itineries, doing research and exploring...even though i am always going to the same places, i find that each different trip i would scumble upon something new which makes me look forward to my destination ...

Here are some backdated grp photos taken at Shoduku last month..the pic look kind of stretched.. Jolie can email me the original size one for these 2 below?? Thanks.
