Day 4 - Disney Land + Arglye Center Again

It's Disney Day and we woke up early again to have local porridge breakfast just downstairs one street away.. I remember Desiree go there almost every night to buy her Zhu Hong Zhou (Pig blood porridge).

Tried diff types of porridge (Chix, Fish, Pork, Pig Blood all with Century Egg) .. The auntie must be thinking why we 4 love century egg so much that we add in to every porridge ordered.. We had a side dish "Zha Leong" which is chong fen wrapping the fried dough sticks to go along too.

Day 5 (Last Day)
It's our final day in HK and i am quite sad to leave though we only hang around the same area MOngKOk.. i gona miss Arglye Center soooo much.....

We headed to London Restaurant again for Dim Sum breakfast and we ordered some new dishes

- Redbean Pancake
- Beancurd
- Coconut Polo Bun
- Coconut/birdnest steam egg

Photobucket

The coconut seems to b very much popular with the HOngkies.. thanks to Ash's sharp eyes she notice every table had one so we waited n waited and finally got to try it..

Photobucket

Photobucket

After bf, we went to check out the bustop to take Bus A21 back to airport and buy the wife/husband biscuits from Wing Wah which is located just next to the 3 storey Esprite Store (Along Arglye Street). Walked through ladies market and Ash got a luggage ... lol her baggage is too heavy to hand carry. Then it was back to the hotel to pack and checkout at 12:00pm...

Left our luggage at the lobby and off we went to the Ladies Market for the last round
and to arglye center again... yes we are not bored of the place.. made friend with a lady selling bags and we got some bags at a very good deal.. An added advantage to travel with a group of gers coz everybody buy and we have better bargainging power...

Right at the 1st level of Arglye Center, there's this Jap store which i've been eyeing on since Day 1..

Photobucket

Photobucket

I wonder what's the sauce they use.. it made the noodle so yummy.. i'm missing it right now ... and we had our last happy lemon before we went back to our hotel to collect our baggages

Photobucket

I miss the cake pudding milktea...

Set off to the airport at 4pm plus.. tot we can have a good meal there but the queues at the check in counter held us up.. witness some interesting commotion at the customs, had some in flight meals (Chicken rice and fried rice which taste like shit) and we found ourselves back in SG at 12am..

Saw Hao, Ronson and later on Jun Xiong (Correct me if i'm wrong) waiting for us at the arrival hall.. they are so sweet to come fetch us even though it's mid night and they should be gaming or zzzing at home..

Photobucket

Here's my final loot from HK...not alot but i really enjoyed this trip with my gals.. let's save up and have another one to Taipei someday... they have hot spring there...

Photobucket

And here's the scallop which was highly recommended.. it's so nice.. i have one a day..

Day 1 - 22nd Mar 09
My adventure started less than 15 mins after we left my house. I thought we were lucky when we caught a new comfort cab right at my doorstep but it ran out of battery and we had to switch to another cab on the expressway. Luckily Hubby Hao was with me, otherwise i gona be nervous and faint rite there. Made it to the airport at 5am and soon met up with the rest of the gals and Ronson.

Checked in our baggage and off we went for a quick bite at Killiney. We thought we were early and were happily snapping photos along the way to the boarding gate until we hear the last call announcement for our flight. LOL...

Photobucket

Here's us on the plane..

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Managed to catch a few winks on the 4 hours flight b4 we touch down in HK around 10:30am... here's our plane

Photobucket

Collected our baggages and without further delay, we got our octopus card and took Bus A21 to our hotel in Mongkok.

Photobucket

Checked in at Stanford Hotel and feeling extremely famish we headed to a random HK Char Can Ting for our very first local meal.

Photobucket

Ash had Curry Spareribs and KX had her Ham/Egg Rice

Photobucket

I ordered Pork Chop Rice and Jo ordered Ee Fu Noodles..

Overall i like the Pork Chop Rice and Ee Fu Noodles best..

B4 we start our shopping, we grab some drinks from Happy Lemon they have roasted milk tea, pudding milk tea and some weird combination.. i ordered a very normal strawberry milk tea.

Photobucket

Our very first shopping destination is Arglye Center and it is where we spent most of our time and money. It's something like Far East except that their stuff are much nicer and cheaper... It's a highly recommended and Must Go place for ladies.

Photobucket

Photobucket

After 3 hours of shopping battle, we decided to head back to the hotel to put our victory items. Grab my long awaited milk and Taco Pachi with Egg Mayo along the way.

This time round i am much more familiar with the streets and this saves us alot of time.

Photobucket

Rested for awhile before we headed down for a light dinner at Xu Liu Shan and ta bao some street food (Curry Fish Balls and Sotong).

Photobucket

Photobucket

We are now all ready for round 2 shopping at Ladies Market and the Mongkok Esprite Outlet.

Photobucket

Here's my loot for Day 1 with most items from Arglye Center

Photobucket

Day 2 - Ngong Ping + CityGate Mall

Started Day 2 with DIm Sum breakfast @ London Restaurant (Mongkok).. They have the traditional pushcart and also discount if you settle your bill before 11:30am on weekdays.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We ordered quite alot and end up it's only about SGD 6 per pax which can cost about SGD 18 per pax in Singapore

Our Stomach are happy now and off we go to do some touristy stuff like visiting the Big Buddha... the way to Enlightment is not easy...

Photobucket

A random Pic while walking towards the cable car station.

Photobucket

A bus can bring you up the winding mountain but the cable car looks much safer..and the journey is around 25 mins.

Photobucket

Check out the views from the cable car.. my legs turn jelly as soon as it went up..This is only the begining...

Photobucket

Further up...

Photobucket

Almost there but not yet...

Photobucket

Finally we are approaching and it's kind of foggy and windy that day.. Freezing cold.

Photobucket

So we arrive and guess what? We bought ice cream..i tot it was crazy enough to go there without jacket and in 3/4 leggings...

Some pics taken on the way to the path of enlightment...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Begining of the path...

Photobucket

Halfway up...

Photobucket

Almost there...

Photobucket

I'm reaching... Panting like mad ...

Photobucket

Here i am

Photobucket

It's freezing up there but we made it !!! See our Hair all flew backwards.. we look like crazy womens..

Photobucket

Photobucket

It's time for a good meal to reward ourselves after attaining enlightment... so we went to have the Deluxe Vegetarian Meal recommended by Jo..

Photobucket

I give them 8/10 for presentation and 8/10 for taste.. it's one of the best vegetarian meal i every tried.. my fav is the lotus stuff with yam.. Yummy...

Photobucket

We took the cable car back to earth again and this time round we had the whole cabin to ourselves.. which means we have the freedom to cam whore and do watever we wanted...

Our next stop was the CityGate Outlet Malls...unless you are a fan of branded stuff like LV, Prada, CK, or sports fan like Puma, Adidas, NIke ... you probably have more time to spend over there..

For us, we prefer Mongkok and so back we went to our hotel and on the way back we bought some Local street food for dinner... After dinner and some recharge we headed down to Ladies Market.

Photobucket

Roast Pigeon, Curry Fishballs, Crispy Egg pancake and Happy Lemon

Photobucket

Random Pic taken at Mongkok

Photobucket

My loot for Day 2....

Day 3 - Macau + Zhu Hai

Woke up to a gloomy morning coz it's pouring like crazy outside our window.. but this doesnt dampen our mood.. we got ourselves ready... bought some traditional Polo Buns and Wife biscuits and we're on our way to the Ferry Terminal at TST...

We took the 10am "First Ferry" and we were just on time after filling up some immigration forms, crossing the custom and running to catch our ferry... The waves rock the ferry and platform well and we were like drunkards early in the morning..

75 Mins later .. we arrive at the land of Casinos aka Macau

Photobucket

Photobucket

Took the free shuttle bus to Venetian...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

The casino is so huge that we got lost inside and wasted some time b4 we decided to hurry over to Zhu Hai another shopping heaven just across the border...

Had a super late lunch @ Zhen Kung Fu which looks like a chinese fast food chain with Bruce Lee as their icon.. Not a bad choice or issiz we are all too hungry... We had our late lunch at 3pm ++

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Shopping was not as fantastic as what people have shared or rather there were too many imitations and Chee Na pple that i dont seem to have the shopping mood...

The rest of the gals went shoes crazy and while they shopped i rested at the chairs... my motivation only came about when i saw a delivery boy holding a few bags of bubble tea....

My mood came back almost immediately after i saw this

Photobucket

Photobucket

After having a boost of Bubble Tea, I managed to grab 2 tops for Hubby Hao and 2 tops for myself plus one Huge Sunglass which i always wanted...

By the time we conclude it's getting late, it was already 7:15pm and we caught the 8:15pm turbojet back to HK and we cab back to Mongkok.

Dinner @ Toilet Bowl Restaurant... which is one of our must go place on our itinery.

Photobucket

The standard smelly pose...

Photobucket

Photobucket

A little Shit Dessert to end off the day.. taste just like mr softee but served in a squatting toilet bowl

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We retire back to our hotel at around 11pm plus and conkass stright after we took pics of our loot for the day.

Photobucket

**Stay tune for Disney Land in the next post**
